Happy Birthday, Amanda!
Barnaby's Cafe was named after the owner's childhood pet. Barnaby was an Old English Sheep dog that died when the owner was 12 years old. There is a mural in the restaurant that says that Barnaby brought the owner so much joy in his childhood, that he decided to dedicate the restaurant to him. There are beautiful painted murals of Barnaby in various activities including going to the beach and the mural below shows Barnaby going to heaven. Painted on the wall and on the waiter's t-shirts are dog bones with angel wings attached. As you leave, the mints are presented in dog bowls. It is very sweet and touching to know the story behind the restaurant as a dog lover! By the way, the food is really excellent also!
